What We’re Looking For:

This role serves as a senior analytics engineer, specialising in constructing data sources to support analytics, analysis, and data modelling. This includes generating data-driven insights to advance the company’s objectives and inform operational decision-making. This senior position entails mentoring junior team members and influencing project direction. This role has key technical input into business critical, medium-high complexity data sets and spans singular product lines and/or business functions.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

Technical
Cleanse and verify data integrity, enhancing data sources when required
Exhibit best coding practices, adeptness in pipeline builds, and proficiency in transformation tools
Analyse data to deliver data-driven insights using proven data mining techniques.
Visualise data insights, communicate findings, and engage in data engineering tasks to optimise data pipelines and enhance analytical capabilities
Management
Effectively leverage knowledge, expertise and experience to lead and deliver projects
Effectively support and mentor analysts
Business
Collaborate with other analysts and stakeholders to execute projects
Leverage business knowledge to enhance business performance
Help guide business when making technical decisions
Personal
Perform research and constantly stays on top of the industry’s trends
Engage and proactively seek opportunities for improvement through ongoing learning

Things That Should Be In Your Background:

Educational/professional experience with a heavy quantitative, analytical focus.
Skilled in data analysis, data engineering and business intelligence
Advanced understanding of SQL, efficiently & effectively applies best coding practices and demonstrates ability to upskill/assist others
Advanced understanding of Python/R, efficiently & effectively apply best coding principles and demonstrates ability to upskill/assist others
Advanced understanding of Apache Airflow, DBT and APIs; demonstrates proficiency in building data pipelines and assisting in upskilling/assisting others
Skilled understanding of version control; efficiently create pull requests, collaborate, debug/track issues, document and host code
Independently develop complex data models
Experience with a reporting tool, such as Tableau
